Can You Help Me?

I need help.

When and how to seek the support of a therapist is a personal decision. Some might prefer to see if a problem works itself out in time and others might welcome help sooner.

I always say that if something is on your mind enough that it is interfering with your everyday life, it may be time to talk about it with a professional. If you or your child are so overwhelmed that you can no longer focus on the things you enjoy or if you feel like the overall well-being of your family is impacted it is time to reach out.

Asking for help can be one of the hardest things to do. Often times, once we do something hard, we immediately feel the bravery that comes along with doing hard things. Be brave - call up a few therapists and ask how they can help you and then see which is the best fit. Finding a therapist can be like finding a good pair of shoes - you may have to try a few but once you know, you know :)
