You deserve a therapist who prioritizes your needs and meets you where you are. Let’s create the best version of yourself!

Growing up as an anxious, people-pleaser, I remember how certain people made me feel as a kid - heard, valued, talented, good.

Those relationships gave me the confidence to shift my thinking. I want others to feel heard, valued and good enough. I want to teach you how to shift your thinking and improve your communication skills. I believe we all deserve to live the good life.

FAQs for Anxiety Therapy in Fort Myers, FL

  • I totally get it. But please know that I have a collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable approach that will make getting started a bit easier.

During our first session or two, I’ll ask you questions to get a better picture of you and your life. I will listen to you without judgment and can most likely relate to exactly how you are feeling. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.

During therapy we will work together to help you better understand yourself. You will gain perspective, new insights, learn to challenge your negative thoughts, receive feedback, and develop new coping skills.

Sometimes therapy can be really hard, creating the changes you’ve been wanting for yourself isn’t easy.

But we can also have some laughs together!

I’m here to help support you throughout the process, helping you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.

  • At this time, I accept Aetna insurance and Key Benefit Administrators (Lee Health).

Many of my clients find that paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who value maximum privacy, confidentiality and flexibility. My self-pay rate is $125/session and I do accept Health Savings Account cards as a form of payment.

In some cases, I can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company and used as an out-of-network benefit. You will be responsible for paying each session in full at the time of appointment. If interested in using your out-of-network benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about out-of-network mental health coverage and what percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered. Then, if interested, let me know you would like to receive monthly superbills.

  • A free consultation call is an opportunity for you to discuss your needs, ask questions, and explore how therapy can benefit you. During the call, I will provide 15 minutes to answer your questions and to see if we would be a good fit before moving forward with therapy sessions.

  • Whether the idea of coming to the therapy office makes you feel even more anxious than you already are, you live outside of the Fort Myers area, or you simply don’t have time to leave the house for another appointment, online therapy is a great option. You will be given a link to join me in a video call hosted on a HIPAA secure platform via your client portal. Clients who participate in virtual therapy will receive the same support as those who visit me in the office. I specialize in anxiety and perfectionism treatment and will help you learn strategies to find success in managing symptoms, online or in-person!

  • It depends on each individual/family case. Most often you will benefit from more than a session or two but some like to take breaks and come back as needed and others prefer a regularly scheduled appointment.

Initially, weekly sessions are preferred by most clients to jumpstart the process of change. We will work together to create the perfect treatment plan for you. My goal is for you to be happy and healthy as quickly as possible!

  • Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act,” which requires mental health practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) about out-of-network care to any patient who is uninsured or who is insured but does not plan to use their insurance benefits to pay for health care items and/or services.

The Good Faith Estimate works to show the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your mental health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know in advance how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person upon the initiation of psychotherapy, the “Good Faith Estimate” provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend on the number of psychotherapy sessions attended, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for items and services.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For more information or for any questions regarding the Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059
